Team Preemie is proud to donate Preemie Packets to both the Cub Crew and NICU at the USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital in Mobile, AL.

The Cub Crew (formerly Neonatal Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team) is the hospital’s specially trained emergency transport team, dedicated exclusively to providing air (helicopter) and ground transport for critically ill newborns and children. For preemies, minutes can be the difference between life and death.

The picture above shows the team holding some Preemie Packets last night, and they headed out for a transport later that evening!

Additionally, the hospital’s Hollis J. Wiseman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the area’s only Level III NICU. Admitting more than 1,000 preemies annually, this facility has 98 beds, including private rooms and negative pressure rooms that prevent cross-contamination for preemies highly susceptible to infection.
