September brings NICU Awareness
September is NICU Awareness Month!
The NICU journey is hard. But preemies are fighters, and September is the time to honor them and all those who helped. From doctors and nurses to parents, siblings, and relatives, so many people have been touched by the preemie experience.
Throughout September, the NICU community recognizes several special days:
September 15: Neonatal Nurses Day
September 26: NICU Remembrance Day
(honoring infants who did not survive)September 27: NICU Giving Day
September 28: NICU Staff Appreciation Day
September 29: Sibling Support Day
Raise awareness and show your support. Share a story, volunteer, hold a fundraiser, post online, or simply say thank you to someone who makes a difference.
